A community like no other –
three centuries in the making
Founded in 1732 by Conrad Beissel, Ephrata was home to a community of Brothers, Sisters, and Householders. Today the site is preserved by the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission, and every visit helps keep its story alive.
